Experience agricultural tourism in the Kingdom

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoys amazing geographical diversity and an abundance of agricultural regions home to an estimated 250,000 farms. Some of these farm owners have turned their properties into tourist attractions to welcome visitors and nature lovers escaping contemporary life. We cover some of these farms below.

Al Saleem Heritage Farm (click here)

Arguably the most well-known of these tourist farms is Al-Saleem Heritage Farm in Al-Qassim that has been operating for more than 200 years old. Thousands of visitors from around the Kingdom visit this ancient farm, which covers an area of 160 square meters. It contains sitting areas so visitors can enjoy palm trees, livestock, mud buildings, kiosks, games, wooden sports equipment and a kilometer long walkway. Festivals and events are regularly held at the farm.

Al-Zaitouna is the first farm allocated for tourism in the southern region. It covers an area of 150 square meters and has 4,000 olive treers and three water tanks that reserve rainwater. the farm has a variety of birds and crops.  

Western region

Madinah is known for its agriculture and has 15 farms that have been licensed to act as tourist attractions. One of the advantages of these properties is their proximity to the Prophet's Mosque, allowing visitors to worship and explore key historical sites before relaxing at one of these tourist farms and enjoying the city’s famous dates. Bustan Al-Mustathal  is one of these remarkable farms. You should not also forget visiting rose factories in Taif including Hada Heights Factory and Exhibition and Rashid Housain Al-Qurashi Factory.

Eastern Province

In the east, Al-Ahsa’s farms continue to attract visitors looking to enjoy wonderful nature. To celebrate special occasions, residents of Al-Oyon city regularly rent the Saad Al-Fajri Farm that spans an area of 17,000 square meters.

Central region

Riyadh is also home to a number of farms including Al-Shalhoub, Wahat Sahab, and Malham. If you are in Ad-Diriyah, check out the Hilla Farm farm that covers an area of 30,000 square meters and has a beautiful pool. 

There are other farms around the Kingdom supported by the Ministry of Tourism, which is actively developing the agricultural tourism industry as part of its “Aryaf” program, launched in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Agricultural Development Fund and other authorities to preserve the natural environment and fund investment projects supported by the state.
