The Kingdom is seeking to enter the Guinness World Records in the Riyadh Season this year, through a gathering of the largest number of female drivers at Princess Nourah University in Riyadh.
Since the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) is organizing the Riyadh season, this is considered as the fifth achievement recorded in its name, among four previously-recorded achievements. The Kingdom received two certificates, one of which is the largest flag in the world formed by 300 drone aircrafts, and the largest amount of fireworks launched at the same time from several cities, with more than 962 thousand fireworks, as part of the Kingdom's celebrations of the 88th National Day. In addition to the largest gathering of ‘drifting’ car performances.
It also won Guinness World Records certificates through the establishment of the largest rubber water park in the world, through the "Beach" event, which was held on the Sunset beach resort in the eastern city of Khobar, with the support of the GEA.
The giant water park, which is established in the ongoing Riyadh Season event from 11 October to 3 November, covers an area of 20536 square meters, and includes 75 games suitable for different ages, including maze, ladders, slides, bridges and inflatable towers, as well as various other activities, including the tournament Gulf Sea Bikes, which participated in 34 racers under the direct supervision of the Saudi Federation of Marine Sports and Diving.
The event saw participants from the UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. In addition to acrobatic, artistic and recreational performances, a beach cinema, as well as various marine games, such as kayaking, jet skiing, diving, sand painting and a sea-based volleyball court.
This time, however, the GEA is also seeking to enter the Guinness list, through the largest gathering of car rallies, as a celebration of the Kingdom's decision a year ago for allowing women drivers. Especially since the number of female drivers increases annually.
