The Al-Baha province is home to one of the first tourist farms in the Kingdom – Zaytouna Farm. Spanning 150,000 square meters, it features more than 4,000 olive trees that produce 22 varieties of the fruit as well as high-quality olive oil.

Farm sections

Owned by Dr. Saleh bin Abbas Al Hafez, the farm contains different sections for an integrated experience. It features a garden for birds, three water tanks to store rainwater, a barley farm, honey apiaries, and a horse stable. Heritage houses have also been built to host visitors in a relaxing atmosphere.

Agricultural field

Along the Sarawat Mountains are the farm’s charming agricultural fields that help prevent water leakages and soil erosion. Strawberry production is carried out using hydroponics, while many fruit trees producing grapes, figs and pomegranates are also grown.

Olive production

Zaytouna Farm started when the owner planted olive tree saplings around one to three years old with the intention of producing a regular crop.

Olive production goes through several stages before harvests are exported to local and international markets. At the farm, olive residues are used in natural fertilizers and animal feed.

The farm, an ideal destination for a family outing, welcomes visitors daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
